Privacy Policy

Early Beaver is made by Caffeine Monday Inc. This policy describes what the app collects, why, and what it deliberately does not touch.
Early Beaver cannot see which apps you use. The app blocks distracting apps through Apple's Screen Time framework, which is built so that developers never learn which apps are on your phone or which ones you open. That information never reaches us, and it is not something we could access even if we wanted to.
What we collect
Your account
When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive an email address and a user identifier. That's what your settings are tied to so they follow you between devices. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your address, we only ever see Apple's relay address.
Your schedule
Your bedtime, wake time and snooze length are stored so they sync across your devices. That's it — no sleep tracking, no recording, no inference about when you actually slept.
Device and diagnostic information
To keep the app working and to understand where it breaks, we store:
- Device model, iOS version, time zone, and app version
- Whether you've granted the alarm and Screen Time permissions — the app is broken without them, and this is how we can tell
- When you last opened the app, and which days you've used it
- A random identifier generated on your device, used to prevent abuse of free trials. It is not your device's serial number, advertising identifier, or anything Apple assigns — it's a value we generate that means nothing outside Early Beaver
Usage of the app itself
We record product analytics — screens reached, settings changed, whether a 2-minute pass was used, and subscription events — through PostHog. This tells us whether the app is helping. It does not include anything about your activity outside Early Beaver.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card, billing address, or Apple ID. We store only whether a subscription is active, which plan, and when it renews.
What we never collect
- Which apps you have installed, or which ones you open
- Location
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
- Health or sleep-tracking data
- Payment details
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. There is no advertising in Early Beaver.
Who processes it
- Supabase — stores your account and settings
- PostHog — product analytics (US region)
- Apple — sign-in and all payments
- Google — only if you choose Sign in with Google
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from inside the app: Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, settings and usage records. It cannot be undone, and we do not keep a copy.
If you'd rather we did it for you, email us and we will.
Children
Early Beaver isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date above and note it in the app.
